The Subsequents are born of immigrants to this land. Armed with guitars, passports and the simple wish for a better life, the band are ready to flaunt their musical girth in an already obese populous. Dulcet, Fervid and Angular, Abrasive but accessible. The Subsequents are your friends, your neighbours and your saviours.
As if it wasn't obvious from the photo above, we're a three piece - Guitar, Bass and Drums.The band began in late 2007 in Melbourne, Australia. Nikki louder and Dickie Rex broke off from their former band to begin something completely different. Drummer DynaMike came along for the ride, bringing snappy beats into the mix and the band headed out to tread the boards of Melbourne's clubs. Eventually Nick and Dick would actually learn how to sing and The Subsequents started kickin' arse and taking names....
Fast-forward to mid 2009, and Dynamike decided to jump off this moving train, causing the juggernaut to lose serious momentum. Not easily beaten down, Nikki and Dickie pulled up their socks and took to the task of auditioning new drummers. This was no mean feat, and the search for a kit-smasher would eventually extend towards the outer reaches of the greater Commonwealth.... specifically Canada. Subsequently, this laid-back Canuck breezed into The Subsequents rehearsal room one fateful day and blasted through a few songs without any practise. This looked promising....
So, with a new EP about to see the light of day and Shane, the new Canadian drummer onboard, the Subsequents were ready to make a comeback in 2010. Here we come, World......
